HELEN BAILEY, a 21 year old army nurse has written a letter home to her mother about a
bombing at Clark Field Air Force Base in Manilla while all around her the sky is red and full of
smoke. Soldiers have fallen and nurses, some off duty, are scrambling to keep them alive.
